About This Hostel
The birdhouse is a backpackers hostel nestled in the blue mountains of Nilgiris in the town of Coonoor. As the name suggests the property is located amidst lush green trees on the mountain with varieties of birds chirping all day long.
The property is almost a hundred year old english bungalow, still having the charm of vintage interiors and vibe.
The hostel offers two mixed dorms and one female dorm with bunk beds and each room having attached bathrooms with 24x7 hot water. The hostel also has one private room with attached bathroom for couples or family.
With more than three common spaces, a lawn, portico with low level couches, a cozy outdoor space with bon fire, the hostel allows you to meet other travelers and share travel stories. We also have an in-house cook and a fixed menu offering delicious homely food.
